Taking 2100 3000 type ball mill as an example, the barrel diameter of the ball mill is 2100mm, but usually we will install 80~100mm liner in the barrel wall, so that the effective diameter of the barrel will become 1900mm~1940mm, here we use 1900mm to calculate the volume of the ball mill, the formula is as follows: 1900²(barrel diameter)×π×3000(barrel length)=8500mm³ =8.5m³.Therefore, the effective volume of 2130 ball mill is 8.5m³.
Calculation method of processing capacity of ball mill:
Q - 200 mesh = Q original (βproduct - βfeed)/Ⅴ t (t/m³.h)
Where, q-200 mesh - unit volume productivity calculated according to newly generated -200 mesh grade;βProduct -- the content of -200 mesh grade in ore grinding products (closed circuit grinding is the overflow of classifier, open circuit grinding is the ore discharging of grinder), %;βfeed- Content of -200 mesh grade in raw ore of feeder-mill, %;Q original -- the original feed quantity of the mill, ton/hour;Ⅴ - effective volume of grinding machine, m³;T -- working hours of grinding machine, hours.
The relationship between the volume and capacity of ball mill
It can be seen from the calculation formula of the processing capacity of the ball mill that the effective volume of the ball mill appears in the formula as the dividend. Therefore, the volume of the ball mill plays a certain role in the processing capacity of the ball mill, but it is not the only measurement index.In addition to volume, feed size, feed quantity and working hours all restrict the processing capacity of the ball mill.
